Tristan Chatfield

Tristan Chatfield has been a Birmingham City Councillor since 2012, alongside his work with Perry Barr’s Labour MP Khalid Mahmood.

In the city-wide elections in May 2018, he joined the Weoley & Selly Oak team from Oscott and successfully took one of two seats, promising to deliver Labour’s local manifesto to ‘Build a Better Birmingham’.

His election, together with Julie Johnson’s re-election, completed the transformation of Weoley, which had been Tory-dominated since 2006, to a Labour ward now called Weoley & Selly Oak, on the heels of Steve Booton’s campaign from 2012 to 2015.

Tristan has been appointed to the Birmingham City Council Cabinet as the lead member for Social Inclusion Community Safety and Equalities.
