The Labour Leader of Birmingham City Council has sent out an open invitation to Birmingham residents ahead of next week’s full City Council meeting. Sir Albert Bore has said members of the public can send in questions to be put to Birminghm’s cabinet members and chairs of district committees.
Sir Albert says: “We’re hoping to get greater participation in the business of the council. I’m hoping many people will write in and help us extend democracy out to the residents of Birmingham.”
The full city council meeting is due to take place at 2pm on Tuesday 12 June and letters should arrive 24 hours in advance.
